Workers’ Compensation

Expert and Caring Treatment for the Injured Worker

Our physicians achieve the best outcomes at the lowest cost by using all available resources to meet your patient’s needs. We take everything about your patient, such as lifestyle and job description, into account. We look beyond the symptoms.

Ideally, we would like to see your patient immediately after the injury to identify their needs. The faster we can consult with them, the more we are able to prevent delays and complications. We'll see your patient through various levels of care to achieve ideal outcomes that result in the restoration of function and improvement in quality of life.

Our strong case management skills will help guide your patient through the system and continuity of care. A non-surgical approach to treatment emphasizes less extreme interventions to maximize patient function first, before resorting to expensive surgical procedures. When dealing with complex and chronic conditions such as back pain, we will act as the interdisciplinary team leader coordinating care with case managers. Our aim is to help your patient achieve a high quality of life and return to work safely and effectively. We help your patient live life again.

Services:

  • Rehab Psychology

Studies show that a patient is more likely to recover from his injury if the behavioral aspects surrounding pain management are also addressed. By using such tools as independent psychological testing and hypnosis, our psychologists have been treating workers’ comp injuries successfully for over 40 years.

  • Pain Management Evaluation

If the patient is not improving three months after the initial injury, he may be a candidate for the Prevail Program. Our four week, interdisciplinary pain management program focuses on physical and behavioral therapy. After graduation from the program, the patient will have the tools he needs to regain his life. To determine if your patient is a candidate for the Prevail Program, please call and ask for a Prevail Eval.

  • Independent Medical Examination (IME)

When an expert opinion is needed on the patient’s medical status, consider an independent medical exam by one of our board certified physicians. We determine current status, evaluate progress with current treatment, review medical records and assess Maximal Medical Improvement (MMI).

  • Second Opinion

Often times second opinions are needed to verify a previous diagnosis.

  • Functional Capacities Evaluation (FCE)

One of the most common complaints by physicians and carriers is that they do not have enough time to read through the lengthy data of a Functional Capacity Evaluation report. Being no more than one to two pages, our reports saves you the pain of weeding through page after page of jargon heavy material. Not only are our findings detailed and concise, our therapist uses objective and reliable data regarding function. We will be happy to fax you an authorization form. Call today.
